Lights, Camera, LASHES

If there is something I love, it has to be an awesome mascara that gives big full lashes and length! I have tried my share of mascaras... although some have been just horrible, others have impressed me. Whether it be from the Drugstore or High End. I recently purchased the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara by Tarte and let me just tell you guys that it has to be one of the best mascaras out there, and let me not get started about how cute the packaging is. It can be a little bit of a splurge for a mascara as it goes for $20.00 at Sephora and Ulta but I promise you it won't let you down (I got it on Cyber Monday for $10!). Let's go ahead and start with the review:

What it claims to do:
It helps curl, add volume, and lengthen the lashes.

The formula is a little on the wet side making it easier to just glide on and the small bristles on the want help the lashes separate and not clump. Trust me when I tell you that with just one coat it adds instant length, and very defined lashes. If you need volume, 1 or 2 more coats will do just that! Be careful with adding more coats, because due to it's wet formula it will tend to get clumpy. Usually I find that with other high end mascaras using it in conjunction with a drugstore mascara gives the best result, which can be a little bit of a let down considering how pricey mascaras can be. However, I find that using another mascara along with this one is not needed. Pretty impressive if you ask me!

(eyelash curler was not used)

There you go guys! If you're looking for a nice quality, high end product I definitely recommend this one! If there is something I missed and you have questions let me know, I hope y'all have a Merry Christmas!

September Favorites 2014!

I have a secret! I recently started my own YouTube channel, I know very nerve rocking! Just the thought of putting myself out there for others to criticize was enough to send me into mini hearth attacks. So here it is my second YouTube video - apologizing for the amateur editing in advance - I hope you guys like it!  Any comments or ideas are definitely welcomedI will be posting videos every other Wednesday , as I want my content and editing to get better each time. It's so hard and challenging but I am loving it so far! And as for blogging, I will definitely continue doing it as well.

Back to basics

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog! I’ve been planning to write my own blog for quite some time now, recently I’ve felt like I’ve just been working my life away at a job that I don’t enjoy. So I decided that I should start doing more of what I love and enjoy doing. Don’t get me wrong though I’m still keeping my job as now a day I’ve decided to be more of a grown up and decided I wanted a new car, and the bills just won’t give you a break. Now seems like the perfect time to start, as I feel like I’m drowning in work and school and have no time for the little things that make me happy. So back to basics – I’m Wendy Ulloa, 22 years old and live in Texas. I am a full time student, and after trying to balance full time school and full time work and realized sometimes it’s just so overwhelming, I’ve decided to go part time at work.
As a self confessed shopaholic  – I will include all my favorite trends and current styles, but it will be broadly lifestyle based about anything and everything, from what I’m wearing to what I’m doing and generally what I’m loving. I’m very excited about starting this, as I’ve been thinking about it for quite some time now but haven’t had the self confidence to just do it. As you can see I’ve already done a few posts and I promise my content will get better.

I really hope you like it!♥

Fall Boots♥

www.justfab.com
Hello lovelies! Long time no see... no but really I feel like it's been forever since I sat down and wrote a blog.  So Labor Day Weekend has passed, and they say it's officially the end of summer. However if you're from Texas we all know that summer continues for another month or so, with some days in the 80's every now and then. It is hot! But now that we are slowly transitioning into Autumn/Fall it is finally time to start bringing out the boots! I have to say that boots and scarves are probably my most favorite part of this season.

I was in the hunt for the perfect transitional boots to go from Summer to Fall, and I found them! They are from JustFab.com,  and let me just say that  I was a little bit nervous when I ordered them because it's the first time  I order online. Something about not actually being able to try stuff on freaks me out. But they turned out perfect! They are so comfortable, and what I love about them is that you can wear them casual with some jeans, or dress them up with some black tights and a cute skirt. I just absolutely love them!

Thank You guys so much for taking your time to visit my little space! I may or may not be working on a little look book for Fall so stay tuned! If you guys have any ideas please comment below!

MIA

Hey Y'all ! I'm sorry for no post this Sunday, with a new semester starting and birthday weekend it has been pretty chaotic this past week. I will have a blog post up soon, just let me get a little used to this new semester and I will come back with new content. If you are a college student like me, you know how that first week is a little chaotic and you're just all over the place!

My birthday weekend is coming up, and if you're like me the first thing I stress about is the freaking outfits! So with a little time in my hands I decided to create a night and day outfit. I will post the birthday outfits next weekend, and see how they turn out. I'm pretty sure I have similar items in my closet but I am very excited to go on the hunt for some blue heels! ♥

Little Black Dre.. Romper!

flirting with cocktails
Romper: XXI Shoes: Ross

Here's a little outfit inspiration!
Rompers are my absolute favorite for those days where just everything seems to go wrong and nothing matches. As soon as you put it on everything looks put together and you don't have to worry about matching this or that... everything is already set up for you.
Also if you're a college student and on a budget like me, XXI, TJ Maxx, Windsor, Nordstom, etc.. are our best friends. There are ways to dress simple yet elegant on a budget.
Just add a few dainty accessories and wa-la! You are ready for a night out with your friends, or a romantic dinner with the boyfriend.

El Salvador 2014

So this past June I went on a one week vacation to El Salvador with my family. Let me just tell you it was awesome! I do have to say though one week is not enough time to see all the beautiful sights my country has to offer. Mostly we went to visit family, as the majority of our family still lives there. One thing is for sure one week is enough to get overly attached, and the goodbye process extra difficult. Sigh....
But here are a few of the pics I took, keep in mind they're not with a professional camera they're actually from my phone lol. So I do apologize for the quality before hand!

 Royal Decameron resort in Salinitas.
This place is just wonderful! It is an all inclusive resort, the staff is super sweet and the property they always maintain clean. We stayed for 2 nights, and at every hour throughout the day there's activities going on and a disco at night. I spent the majority of my time laying out by the pool and the mornings by the beach. You can just imagine how sunburnt I got, plus the fact that I was trying a new tanning lotion didn't help.

On our way back from the resort we stopped by the town of Alegria, "happiness" in english. And it's dead on right, this litle town is located up in one of the many montains El Salvador has, because it's at a high altitude the weather is amazing! If you can picture the perfect spring day when you can wear just a light cardigan, and a small breeze that makes it just right. That's how this town is.
I can't remember the name of the restaurant to save my life at the moment. When we stepped out of the car it was into a garden, then we saw tables.. so far to us it was just another restaurant with awesome flower around us. But then we choose a table towards the back, and as we got close that spectacular view took our breath away. We could see miles and miles of El Salvador. And storm clouds far far away. Let me just say that this picture doesn't give it justice.
Don't mind me, just look at that view!
I don't want to make this blog post to long so i'll stop here on the first half of the week. Thank You guys so much for taking your time to visit my little space!
