So this past June I went on a one week vacation to El Salvador with my family. Let me just tell you it was awesome! I do have to say though one week is not enough time to see all the beautiful sights my country has to offer. Mostly we went to visit family, as the majority of our family still lives there. One thing is for sure one week is enough to get overly attached, and the goodbye process extra difficult. Sigh....
But here are a few of the pics I took, keep in mind they're not with a professional camera they're actually from my phone lol. So I do apologize for the quality before hand!
Royal Decameron resort in Salinitas.
This place is just wonderful! It is an all inclusive resort, the staff is super sweet and the property they always maintain clean. We stayed for 2 nights, and at every hour throughout the day there's activities going on and a disco at night. I spent the majority of my time laying out by the pool and the mornings by the beach. You can just imagine how sunburnt I got, plus the fact that I was trying a new tanning lotion didn't help.
On our way back from the resort we stopped by the town of Alegria, "happiness" in english. And it's dead on right, this litle town is located up in one of the many montains El Salvador has, because it's at a high altitude the weather is amazing! If you can picture the perfect spring day when you can wear just a light cardigan, and a small breeze that makes it just right. That's how this town is.
I can't remember the name of the restaurant to save my life at the moment. When we stepped out of the car it was into a garden, then we saw tables.. so far to us it was just another restaurant with awesome flower around us. But then we choose a table towards the back, and as we got close that spectacular view took our breath away. We could see miles and miles of El Salvador. And storm clouds far far away. Let me just say that this picture doesn't give it justice.
